SeedMaster 3 was developed by Zutora's Jakab Rózsa. Manufactured and marked by K-Patents Oy and later Vaisala Oyj.

The first instrument in the World that could provide reliable online data on supersaturation was developed by Zutora's now retired Dr. Lajos Rózsa.

This was SeedMaster 1 in 1998, manufactured and marketed by the Finnish company K-Patents Oy.

The most important parameter of crystallization is supersaturation. That is the driving force of crystal growth. If supersaturation is too low, crystals will not grow. If it is too high, spontaneous nucleation will happen, ruining product quality.

To achieve the highest possible product quality, supersaturation must be kept in an optimal range. To control it, we need to know its value.
