Photometers

Zutora offers Kemtrak process photometers across a wide range of industrial applications. From chemical and pharmaceutical production to food processing and environmental monitoring, we help customers select, integrate, and optimize Kemtrak analyzers for reliable inline measurement. Kemtrak photometers are widely used to monitor parameters such as concentration, color, turbidity, and suspended solids in real time, enabling improved process control and product quality

The Kemtrak DCP007 Process Photometer is a robust inline analyzer designed for reliable absorbance measurements in demanding industrial environments. Using fiber-optic technology, the instrument separates the sensitive electronics from the process, allowing the optical probe to be installed directly in pipelines, or bypass loops while the transmitter remains safely located in a control cabinet or mounted next to the pipeline.

The Kemtrak DCP007 provides stable and accurate measurements for a wide range of applications including concentration monitoring, color measurement, turbidity detection, and reaction control. With a selection of interchangeable wavelength light sources and optical path lengths, the system can be configured to match specific analytical requirements. Its rugged construction, low maintenance requirements, and straightforward integration make the Kemtrak DCP007 an excellent choice for continuous process monitoring.

The Kemtrak UV Spectra Process Spectrophotometer extends the capabilities of traditional photometers by providing full spectral measurements across multiple wavelengths from 190 to 440 nanometers. Instead of monitoring a single wavelength, the Spectra analyzes the complete absorbance spectrum, enabling more advanced analytical methods and greater flexibility in process applications.

This capability makes the Kemtrak Spectra ideal for complex processes where multiple components or changing conditions must be monitored simultaneously. Combined with powerful data analysis and calibration capabilities, the Kemtrak Spectra provides a versatile platform for advanced inline spectroscopy and process optimization.

Typical applications

Kemtrak process photometers are widely used for inline monitoring of optical properties in industrial processes. By measuring absorbance at specific wavelengths, they allow continuous monitoring of concentrations, reaction progress, and product quality without the need for manual sampling. Typical applications include color measurement, turbidity monitoring, concentration analysis, and detection of impurities or process deviations.

These instruments are particularly valuable in processes where real-time information helps operators optimize production conditions, improve product consistency, and reduce waste. Because the measurements are performed directly in the process stream, Kemtrak photometers provide immediate feedback that supports better process control and faster response to changing conditions.

Industries and process areas

Kemtrak photometers are used across a wide range of industries where optical measurements can provide insight into process conditions. In the chemical and petrochemical industries, they are commonly applied to monitor reaction progress, catalyst performance, or product purity. In food and beverage production, they can be used to measure color, turbidity, or concentration during processing.

Other common application areas include pharmaceutical and biotechnology processes, water and wastewater treatment, and various specialty chemical processes. With flexible wavelength configuration and robust fiber-optic probe designs, Kemtrak photometers can be adapted to many different process environments and analytical challenges.
